Back to the Future ref.

When he's having a piss, he pushes his sunlasses up and looks at his watch, just like te BTTF poster.

Then when they are all doing it, it's the poster for part III

No idea if it's areqady been picked up! Probably.

reply

Yes - re: BTTF

opening credits - Superman

Dr Who scarf on Toby

reply

yep, I said the same thing to my wife...
she said I was right, but it could have been a coincidence,
of course, as a BTTF fan, I'm sure is a ref

AND another reference is as they leave the cinema. 3 posters show behind them:

A Boys Life (The original title of ET)
Watch The Skies (Original title for Close Encounters)
Paradox (Original working title for BTTF II)

Awesome movie for "science fiction" fans.

There's 2 references to BTTF in the toilets. The first is when he's on his own and lifts his glasses up to look at his watch, ala BTTF 1, and the second time is when all 3 of them are in the toilet and look at their watches, ala BTTF 3.

reply

wow, you managed to bring absolutely nothing new to this discussion. what the f was the point of your post?

oh, and the "golden" piece of paper is a pulp fiction reference.

reply

Wow nice, thanks. Never would of gotten that.

reply

There might have been another one after the credits when Toby and Toby go running by and they look to be carrying the same silver bags that had the sports almanac in Part 2.

reply

He had the silver plastic bag when they were coming out of the movie theatre. It was where He kept his book.

reply

"Ray, I love you but we only have 14 hours to save the earth" Obvious FLASH reference

reply

A small-maybe-not one:
When on of the guys sees the pub destructed and his future him dead, you can see a line of fire in the floor, exactly like the ones the Delorean leaves.

reply

yeah, but it's hard to believe that the delorean drove right through the pub. i rather say it was what it was - just burning liquor.

reply

I didn't catch that, nice reference. Thanks for bringing it up.

reply

she calls him "Future Boy", which is what Doc Brown calls Marty in BTTF when Marty looks him up in 1955.

reply

When the rules for time travel r discussed (in the toilet) they say dont have sex w/ any1 because it may be ur mom or grandma BTTF 1 2 & 3 reference this post will self destruct at a time tbd

reply

"..she calls him "Future Boy", which is what Doc Brown calls Marty in BTTF when Marty looks him up in 1955."

Finally! I thought no one caught this one. Doc says, "Good night, Future Boy!", and she says: "See you around, Future Boy!" (which doesn't make any sense in the context, but it's nice to have a Back to the Future-reference, of course)

Can't possibly have a time travel movie without a reference to the Back to the Future movies, those were classicsSource:Movie Reviews Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travelhttp://moviereviews.noskram.com/2009/10/movie-reviews-frequently-asked -questions-about-time-travel
