Planet of the Apes reference? (minor spoilers)

I got the Flash Gordon one about "14 hours to save the earth" but was it supposed to mirror the original Planet of the Apes when the three of them are looking up at something big out of shot, which turns out to be a picture of them? It looked pretty similar to the statue of Liberty scene in PotA.

also the Back To The Future pose in the toilets...

They also mention Shaun of the Dead. It's right after they clear the paradox, they decide they want a different pub. The pub they choose is the one from SotD.

When I describe this movie to my mates, I basically call it Shaun of the Dead, but with Time Travel

In the credits they thanked "The Wheatsheaf Pub". I googled that, and discovered that it's in Borough, London,
near the Thames.

It's absolutely a reference to Planet of the Apes. I got that right away when you could see a bit of the structure in the foreground.

I noticed none of the goddamn references mentioned in that thread :-/

I say you all lie. Except me. Or is it the opposite? I always purposefully confuse my lies. So nobody even knows i'm lying. Even me. You freaking liar.

People who don't like their beliefs being laughed at shouldn't have such funny beliefs
