Why do people say this movie is bad because

It's sick and disgusting? That's what it's supposed to be, idiots. It's not supposed to entertain you, it's not supposed to make you feel good, it's supposed to disturb you, it's supposed to make you feel bad and it's supposed to make you realize how *beep* up some people are. It doesn't make sense to say that a SICK movie is bad because it's SICK.

Most people don't watch violent movies to be entertained, they watch them to be disturbed and to see how terrible things like murder and rape are. Those movies aren't supposed to be entertaining. If you think people who like this movie like it because they'd love to see people die in real life, you're *beep* stupid. They think it's a good movie because it disturbed them, it had a strong effect on them. People who think violent movies are good aren't "sick". I can't stand when people say things like "anyone who enjoys this movie is sick! Seeing people die in horrible ways isn't entertaining!" They're just so ignorant and close minded... IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE ENTERTAINING! Being entertaining is not the purpose of every single movie, dammit! This movie is supposed to be shocking! You think such movies make people feel like killing people? You're an idiot, they do THE OPPOSITE. Violent movies don't influence sane people to kill or whatever, they make people see how *beep* sick and terrible killing people is and how *beep* up the world is. Not exactly a bad thing if you ask me.

Oh btw, this movie isn't torture porn. There's NOTHING entertaining about the violence. Besides, the term torture porn is the most retarded term used to describe movies ever. It's what people say when they don't have anything intelligent to say against a movie.

Because a whole lotta horror fans are homophobic metalheads with absolutely no tolerance for anything that even threatens to have a different state of mind than the one they're used to. to alot of these people, the idea of a man having sex with another man is the absolute worst thing imaginable in the world. It must bring back repressed memories of daddy or something...

reply

I'm a metalhead. I don't listen to the *beep* noisy bands that a lot of horror fans that really don't know much about metal listen to though.

"It must bring back repressed memories of daddy or something..."

You're probably right.

reply

no offense w/ the metalhead remark, man. that was an unfair generalization

reply

It ok. A lot of metal fans are homophobic. Then again, a lot of people (period) are homophobic.

It's simply pathetic how some people find the sex scenes more disturbing and disgusting than the violence! It seems that people think violence in movies isn't as bad as sex in movies... Don't get me wrong, I love violent movies, but I really don't get why people think extreme violence is fine, but sex (EVEN normal sex) is wrong... What the *beep* is wrong with people?

You don't sound like you understand the concept of "art". I haven't seen this movie but I have seen many like it, this movie does not look like it celebrates anything, it looks dark, grimy and purposefully disgusting. From the footage I have seen it doesn't celebrate or shame violence, it shows it for how it really is, which always seems to confuse people. You can't even make a film showing terrorist's from an unsympathetic nor condemning standpoint without being accused of sympathizing or "celebrating" them and being called unamerican.
It is as if everything must be spoon fed and relateable or people get upset.
