kinda shocked theres no post here about this, was a big fan of the show sad to see it end
shareThis is the first I've heard of it being cancelled but I can't say that I'm surprised. The way they suddenly switched which night the show airs last season with virtually no warning plus the fact that they didn't air a marathon of the whole season on the day of the season finale like they had for previous seasons made me think it might not be back.

It was an interesting show and I'm sad to see it go but it had to happen. Every episode had less than ten minutes of new content and the rest was commercials and recap. Discovery is a horrendous channel that wears out its viewers with the endless recaps.

I came on to see if it was still producing new episodes. I've had no television for a while now, but have been watching the show on Netflix. Didn't realize it first premiered ack in '07 and was even more surprised it was on for six seasons. As much as I love this show and the subject matter how many seasons can you really have about something like this?

What killed it was the fact that Discovery deicded to script almost all of it and make it about "drama" and infighting among the teams. It quit being about tornadoes in Season 4. Season 5 could have been good given the record tornado year of 2011, but it quickly went down hill with the same old scripted crap and then the show got toasted.
