Any news on English subtitles of two?

I read that the Swedish producers have NO plans to have "Wallander" season two subtitled into English. How can that be true? Doing proper subtitles takes care, for sure. But the cost would be tivial--- a few thousand at most. Compared to the production costs of the entire show that is nothing!

I LOVE the Swedish version, cannot speak Swedish. I, too, saw the Kenneth Branagh BBC attempt first and found it horribly depressing. Branagh is a world treasure, to be sure, but after I got into the Swedish "real thing" I realized that the BBC Wallander writers, directors, and producers simply didn't "get" Wallander at all.

I purchased Wallander season 1 (epis 1-13), and am now carefully doling them out to myself as special pleasures. I want season 2 in English, ASAP, please!!!

If you're in the UK do you have a PVR as S2 has begun a re-run on BBC4 tonight - probably a further repeat midweek if you missed Hamnden this evening.
