Walking into an unlocked front door

I'm about 6 episodes into the first season and it seems like they do this a lot. If a front door is closed but unlocked it's just cool to walk in. I was just wondering if this is actually somewhat customarily acceptable in Sweden. I'm not trying to hate on other peoples customs, if it's acceptable there then good for them. I'm an American so it strikes me as crazy. Again not saying they are crazy, it's just if someone did that here it would come across as crazy. Unless it was some cute Scandinavian girl like Linda, I would be fine with that.

Yes I know shes dead in real life but I still have a celebrity crush on her.

Do you mean complete strangers or people they know?
A lot of people knock on the door and just opens it, not complete strangers though, that would be awful.
Walking around with dirty shoes inside is not acceptable in Sweden for most people though, like it seems to be in nearly every American show/film.
