Region 1 DVds available
The first nine episodes--and, one hopes, soon the rest--are available in the US from Amazon.com.
I bought them as soon as I saw them. It's great that they're finally being released on Region 1 DVDs.

Not sure about 25 and 26
We've been looking for episodes 25 and 26. Our public library system has all the episodes except these. I haven't been able to locate region 1 DVDs anywhere. My husband and I really love this series in spite of its quirkiness. For example, when suddenly the whole precinct office was new and ultra-modern and Lena was gone and nobody said a thing. And, "Would you like a drink?" always makes us grin. It has also been fun to witness the progress in technology from CRTs to flat panel monitors to cell phones and texting. I'm wondering if they have smart phones in the last episodes. If I can find one, I will buy a bottle of Calvados to celebrate the last 2 episodes when we watch them.

But that sounds like something only an angry Swede would do.
and the reason for this seemingly unrelated diatribe is ?
Oh, and if you'll take my advice, you'll swallow the sleeping pills BEFORE putting the bag over your head otherwise the two acts, if attempted simultaneously, as YOU suggest, would require the use of at least THREE arms. This would be very socially divisive as it would seem to limit opportunities to Siamese Twins in a suicide pact.

shareI emailed MHz in August, asking whether there were plans to release the final two films on region 1 DVDs, and the response was as follows:
"In fact, I’m working on the deal today and hope to have it all finalized in about a month or two."
So, hopefully, by November [2014], we should have some news.
