The two leads had good chemistry and I enjoyed the settings but the whiny, awful music just ruined it for me. I'd suggest watching Music and Lyrics instead.

I don't agree, but obviously if you don't like the music in this I don't see how you could like the movie.
shareCouldn't disagree more; the music in this film is fantastic and helps compliment the mood of the story and its characters. "Falling Slowly" in particular is one of the best songs I've heard in the past decade. Music, however, is a subjective experience so I'm sure there will be those who don't like it but personally I loved it.

shareim with OP on this. i like all kinds of music and while i dont strongly dislike the music in "once" its all a bit samey and all very depressing and slow. its a shame as itd be awesoem otherwise!

It's really difficult to tell the difference between Trolling, Ignorance and stupidity nowadays. Especially in IMDb.
