The Music Sucked
I think a ten year old could write better music than that slow theme. It made me snore.

Friend, I;m not saying people didnt like it. Heck, people like Lady Gaga - enough said.
But the music in this movie looked pretty awful compared to the average musical, such as Rent.
And that makes Tokyo Joe sad.

Because I think the music compared to many great musicals, aint no good?
It was not great at all friend.
Even Rent had a better soundtrack, and Rent aint no Marvin Hamlisch.

shareThe Lady Gaga analogy holds absolutely no weight... By that same logic, anything that anyone "likes" can be awful. So who the hell is to say that anything you deem to be a masterpiece is conclusively exceptional music? Do you not like it? Is that what makes it so special? No.
And you obviously missed the memo as to why the music has been praised so highly. People appreciated the fact that it deviated from the average musical by breaking away from the big and elaborate productions and focusing on a more intimate and low key atmosphere.
You may not have liked it but that does not equate it to sucking.
