Has it helped anyone with their wine knowledge?

Hi,

I hope I am not the only person posting, that would be so sad.

Anyway, I have to say I am with James. I am not much of a wine drinker, or any alcohol drinker but I have always had an interest.

There is such a mystery that surrounds wine and when I go out with friends, it would be nice to be able to pick the wine for a change and actually know what the hell it is I have choosen.

So far this programme has helped a lot.

It should be called...'An idiot's guide to wine, starring Oz Clarke and James May'...

Don't worry, Charlie, I'm posting as well. I've just bought the DVDs, so I've only seen the first two episodes, and haven't learned that much, maybe because I'm not that interested in the wine, just James. My father is picking up a bit, though. I'm not allowed to talk while Oz does, because dad is actually listening.

Thanks for posting, sorry about the long delay in replying.

I have heard that they were thinking of doing another Wine Adventure but this time around South America.

I hope so.

I've heard rumors about that as well. James is becoming quite the media whore, isn't he? (I mean that in the nicest way!) He's on the F word, HIGNFY and two other shows in a week, he's doing some other show and a new season of the big gay wine adventure. At this rate he'll soon have more screen time than Hammond! (of course, lots of James can only be a good thing.)

I saw him on The F Word, I laughed so hard.

What was G Ramsay thinking with that eating contest????
James eats SPAM...YUKKKK!!!

I have to say I was really surprised that James won the actual cooking contest, his fish pie looked like ****
'
I did not get to see HIGNFY but I did see 'Something for the Weekend, well bits of it, the bits with James in.

I am glad he is getting a lot of exposure, I think his personality and lifestlye can handle it and I am also pleased Richard is not doing so much anymore.

I like to think of Richard spending more time with his family and letting single James' take on the mantle of 'Top Gear TV Whore'.
