Way edited Falklands episode in LA

After airing all the episodes, but the Falklands one, History Channel Latin America take it's time to air this episode, for obvious reasons. As long as I supose that this episode was made from the Brithis side (Otherwise would be called "The war for Malvinas"), because I'm not been able to see the original version online.

Actually, it could be said that the producers only take footage from the episode, and mix it with real footage and interviews wit the Argentinian pilots, of course fucusing on the actions that succeded for the Argentinian Air Force. The show was narrated by the same guy that makes the translated narration of the other episodes, and is two hours long. At the very end, all the interviwed pilots insist in that Agentina must reover the islands, but onloy by the diplomatic way.

I'd like to know exactly what you saw. I don't see an episode listed with anything about the Falklands war on any of the various websites.

Certainly the Sea Harrier deserves a spot in this series. As I recall, it was 23-0 or something like that in air to air combat. Generally, the poor showing by the Argentine pilots is blamed on the fact that they did not have the AIM-9 Sidewinder and the Brits did, and I buy this to a certain extent. But of all the histories I have read, the Argentinians never even attempted to engage the Sea Harriers. Given what the Israelis accomplished with the Mirage III, you would think the Argentinians would have least given it a shot.

Sorry for the long time to answer, but nobody seemed to have readed this post then I gave up on it. There's only a couple references on Internet that this episode was ever aired, and the4 History's website does not mention it at all. The episode aired in Latin america focuses in the attacks over the british ships. Here you can watch in streaming the episode (in spanish, no subtitles), and confirm it had secuences from the original episode.

It would be nice if this episode could be folded into the regular History Channel series with english narration. Although rather one-sided on the "dogfight" side, the Falklands conflict never-the-less included a great deal of historical relevant air warfare. Unfortunately, outside Britain and Argentina, few people realize this.

Here in the United States, anyway, there is a general perception that the whole war was a "walkover" with the outcome virtually predetermined in favor of the Brits. As each of the involved nations knows, it was anything but...
