Nurse standing over the patient

Don't think this has been discussed before but did anyone else notice that when the father visited Gina in hospital and passed a ward there was a nurse standing over a patient in a kind of emotionless way. Did anyone else think this was a hint that the nurse was the "mirror" of the patient?

Cambridge man you know. His uncle Bertie and I used to break wind for our college.

I noticed this, too, and actually rewound the movie to get a better look at her. At first I thought it was going ti be her, (another doppelganger), then I thought maybe it looked like her just aged quite a bit. Then I forgot about it until I saw your post! It obviously had some significance or they wouldn't have shown it. Your explanation makes as much sense as anything else!

We never saw the mirror or bad father until the end, when he offed the good father. The nurse was just foreshadowing characters to come. I don't think she had anything to do with the patient, just no passion towards her job as she was the bad mirror. This is why even though the good father noticed her, he didn't appear to think anything of it.

Five years late to the thread, but yes that's how I took it. I had to go back and look because the scene hadn't made sense to me until after I saw the whole movie
