Tarantino's costume

It's a nice homage to the Spaghetti westerns. It harks back to the image of the Man With No Name. Was this an intended homage to Clint and Leone? I know that films like the Django series also adopted this costume which has become more like a genre defining "super hero" costume, much like the spandex costumes of super heroes in the comic films.

Tarantino has always spoken of the influence Leone had on his own work in films like Kill Bill which funny enough it featured the character of the Name with no Face (Bill). We only find out the face in the second film but are left with only a name throughout the first film.
