REMAKE!!!!!

Okay, first off, I think this movie looks really funny and I'm excited to see it. Second, it's completely a rip-off an old Vincent Price/Boris Karloff/Peter Lorre film called "Comedy of Terrors"! Same plot! The owners of a failing funeral home start killing people to up business! Rent it, watch it, and tell me this isn't the same plot!

The penguins are calling and I can't find my way out of the labyrinth.

I think you'll find a movie that isn't similar to, or even a direct remake, of something that's already been done a rarity nowadays. If you take a look at your local video store's "new release" shelf, then take a wander down to the old release shelf, half the titles are replicated! Like they say, there are NO original ideas anymore! :)

i beg to differ. europe, kora and japan put out some neat new ideas sometimes.

reply

Not new in their country.

Although similar in their whimsy, Just Buried is not a remake of Comedy of Terrors. Basic plot point: killing to drum up business as oppossed to killing to take over a business. Other than this proximity to a plot the film follows no other detail or especially dialogue. Both are good films and dark comedys. If you enjoy one you will enjoy the other.
