I don't have enough for a full review, so I'll post here.
I like that the film is Canadian, and set in Canada. That's too rare these days, and deserves respect.
I could tell that it wanted to be a dark comedy. But it just wasn't dark enough, nor funny enough. For example, if Roberta had herself been bumped off, that would have helped.

Felt the exact same way. All the ingredients were there for a solid flick: dark set up, good actors for their parts, etc...
But the writing didn't deliver unfortunately. As you said, not dark or comedic enough. They kept it too much about the Jay B. character being clumsy and dorky, and couldn't deliver on the solid set up... 5/10.

Yea,that's what I thought. That Roberta would try to kill him and end up killing herself. Stupid writers.
