Did the Shiela Character Wear Padding?

Does anyone know if the Shiela character wore padding (a fat suit) for the first part of the movie? She was obviously supposed to be significantly smaller in the last part of the movie (although still not tiny), and as I re-watched the movie tonight and saw the way they made her body look when she was heavier, I thought it looked like they padded her for the "fat scenes." Anyone know? Also, her face just looked way too thin for her body to have been that large earlier in the movie, although I guess some people have thin faces even when their bodies are larger.

Either way, she's beautiful. I kept thinking, "What a beautiful woman, no matter what her weight."

The other poster was being facetious... (s)he knew that the actress didn't lose 50 pounds over the course of filming...

Yes she did. I know because I am in the burger joint scene with Ms. Scott and Mr. Rucker.

I am the bearded white guy at the next table wearing a grey sweater.

We shot the scene in Tyler Perry's old studio on Krog Street in Atlanta. The burger joint set was actually the makeup room redressed to look like a restaurant. It was a hot June night in 2006 and the small room was full of actors, lights and crew. The room was not air conditioned and Miss Scott was wearing layers of foam rubber to make her character look about 40 pounds heavier. Due to the foam rubber the poor thing was roasting due to her trapped body heat. Between takes I did the best I could to fan her with the prop menu. When I think back about that night I'm still amazed there were no fans brought in to cool the room.

Both Ms. Scott and Mr. Rucker were dripping with sweat yet when watching the movie one can not see any.

BTW, I played the role of a TV studio union stagehand in "Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married Too?" and I have also been in "Tyler Perry's House of Payne" TV show. Any time Mr. Perry's casting people need a bearded older fat white guy they call me! LOL!!

Thanks for asking.
