Well, I just finished reading the Freakshow story written at the link bellow

Reading the story from beggining to end it helped understand the characters much better. Unfortunately, the movie does not develop the characters well, so reading the story is like a companion to the movie.

THec only thing i know is a big part of the movie was stolen from "FREAKS" they even used some pics from it at the beginning of the movie
