it should be Chicago 7 not 10

Why should it be 7? Just curious

Originally there were 8 defendants and they were known as the Chicago 8. After Bobby Seale's case was severed from the rest, they were known as the Chicago 7. This film is called Chicago 10 because the director Brett Morgen believes that the two (primary) lawyers for the defense should get equal billing.

Jerry Rubin stated that "Anyone who calls us the Chicago Seven is a racist. Because you're discrediting Bobby Seale. You can call us the Chicago Eight, but really we're the Chicago Ten, because our two lawyers went down with us."

That was where, Brett Morgan said on NPR, the title CHICAGO 10 came from.

The Chicago 7 did not include Bobby Seale (who was tried separately), and also attorneys William Kunstler and Leonard Weinglass, who were both convicted for contempt of court. Thank you for the quote from Jerry Rubin, we appreciate it.
