Why was she ever selected for that role? The song sucks and it goes on way too long.

I never heard Joan Jett song so I don't know how horrible it sounds compared to the real thing...But I love Faith Hill's version of the SNF opening song better than Pink, she's very clear and less noisy when she sings, and it's easy to sing to.
