Shot on film???

Film cameras in 2011 are different from film cameras in 1982. Also the lighting and post-production grading techniques differ.

You could hypothetically shoot on film and fuck with it in post production to make it look almost however you want.


I could open The Thing (1982) up on a digital file. Edit the white balance and brightness, add some softness to it, some edge enhancement... whatever I please. So you see your argument doesn't make much sense. There is more to a movies visual aesthetic than simply film vs digital.
