QUESTION- What if you Had to Recast the 1982 Movie with Today's Actors ?

If you yourself had to Recast "John Carpenter's THE THING" with Actors from Today then how would you do it ?

For an example, here are my own casting decisions below!

MacREADY - Chris Pratt

BLAIR - Jeff Bridges

GARRY - William Hurt

DR. COPPER - Richard Dreyfuss

CHILDS - Tyrese Gibson

PALMER - Walton Goggins

WINDOWS - Adam Brody

CLARK - Jon Bernthal

NAULS - Arlen Escarpeta

NORRIS - Christian Clemenson

FUCHS - John Karna

BENNINGS - Richard Schiff

It's not like for like. Carpenter cast solid theatre and character actors, excepting that Kurt Russell already had traction. Your suggestions are great, but equivalent casting would have blow Carpenter's budget from the start.
