When does the THING takeover Griggs and Juliette? They are apparently both THINGS at the same time. I just can't figure out when it happened.
And also, what ever becomes of the Griggs THING from the helicopter crash? Did it die in the crash?
Griggs was outside in the Helicopter when the thing broke loose, he hears it and I always took that as he went outside to investigate and was assimilated. It took the team a while for everyone to gear up and go outside so that would provide enough time to make it possible. As for Juliette, when everyone is busy doing/watching the autopsy, Juliette gets sick and exits the room. He approaches her in the hall as she makes a run for the restroom to vomit. He can be seen watching her with no one else around, almost as if he is about to attack...
shareI always took it to be Griggs was assimilated. When they ask him if he left the door open he just says "I cant remember." Given the location I would think shutting doors would be pretty important, but the Thing wouldnt know that so we get the answer he gave. Then somehow he infects Juliette, kind of like the guy in the original who had the heart attack, like a little takes a while to fully take you over and during the process the "host" starts feeling bad, but of course doesnt know why. I would assume the blood in the bathroom is from her fully transitioning...at least it could be assumed she as going to the bathroom since she felt sick.
As for the co-leader, although it wasnt asked, no idea.
DOG - The Dog was assimilated by the Ice Block-Thing in it's kennel after it escaped from the ice block.
GRIGGS - Griggs was assimilated by the Ice Block-Thing while he was outside alone in the chopper getting a bottle from his stash.
JULIETTE - Juliette was assimilated by the Griggs-Thing in the shower room after he saw her run into it crying and sick and he followed her into it.
EDVARD - Edvard was assimilated by the Juliette-Thing in the Mess Hall.
SANDER - Sander was assimilated by the Edvard/Adam-Thing in the radio room.
CARTER - Carter was assimilated by the Sander-Thing aboard the spaceship.
BENNINGS - Bennings was assimilated by the Edvard/Adam-Thing while he was alone in the storage room.
NORRIS - Norris was assimilated by the Palmer-Thing when the lights went out.
PALMER - Palmer was assimilated by the Dog-Thing when it walked into his room while he was alone in it.
BLAIR - Blair was assimilated while he was inside of the Tool Shed by the Palmer-Thing after it had failed to assimilate Fuchs who burned himself before it could get to him.
