What is with the scene where.... (spoiler)

Elise sleeps with the son and then the father.

why bother...

I don't know why they did it, but I knew the son was going to sleep with her when he checked out her butt during breakfast. It was stupid. Both Elise and Jodie didn't seem too thrilled during it, so maybe it's to show how she's sick of an older man because he can't last as long, and she'd prefer someone like Jodie. Or it's just the simple idea she had sex with two men right in a row. Whatever way, it seemed stupid and cliche to add it.

She had to distract the father because the son ran into the bathroom to hide. If the father went in there and found the son naked, he would've known what was going on.

i guess i would agree to that
what i dont understand is there was no chemistry btn them
he used to shout on her and disrespect her
then why all of a sudden
seems so unrealistic

Just watched the movie. Yeah I think that all along the whole shouting and disrespecting her was his definition of "flirty". There was explicit sexual tension, so when he approached her and she was in her bath towel, they both already knew what the deal was. I think he didn't know how to get to that point with her any other way, he's not the type to talk about his feelings (obviously!)...
