HOW DO YOU RATE THE MUSIC BY VANGELIS???

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THE FILM SCORE SOUNDTRACK TO "EL GRECO" WILL GET AN OFFICIAL RELEASE?

I think Vangelis has released an album called “El Greco” in 1995 (Atlantis Records). I think the score of this movie is that album.

No, it is not! Vangelis composed new music for this film.

The score is available on Polydor/Universal records. It's official UK release date is supposed to be October 2008, but if you go to HMV's website you can order it on import for about £15 GBP.

The music itself is very good, but it takes a good few times to fully appreciate the score. There is a very pleasant main theme sounding like 'Hymne' from 'Opera Sauvage'. This release has very little in common with the other El Greco release from the late 90's. It's a lot better than the (still rather good) Blade Runner re-issue...like I said, stick with it, give it time and the rewards will be legion.
