Josh Gad as the doctor is painful

Dear God, this guy is such an awful actor. Every time he appears onscreen as the doctor I just groan at him and his terrible delivery of lines. I'm hoping he doesn't appear after season 4.

He doesn't.

But yes, Gad is a mostly awful presence on screen, regardless of the project.

I'm always interested to learn why people strongly dislike certain actors.

What is it about him that you find awful?

I just remember that line in the show with Kelsey Grammer, where Gad plays the station manager (shades of Frasier and the nebbish GM, Kenny), and Grammer's character says something like, "Better be careful...one day, station manager, and the next, back on The Geek Squad!", a reference to being punted back to working at Best Buy in a menial retail position.

I think he is a bit typecast; but he seems to be able to deliver that persona of the uncool slacker stereotype (heavy, can be slovenly, awkward with women, etc)

Clearly he represent a lower degree of appeal and success than other similar actors like Jonah Hill or Seth Rogen (who has pursued his own lack of coolness and likability with an alarming degree of intensity)
