OPINION ON SEASONS

I love this show from the bottom of my heart. The scripts were fantastic with well drawn out characters. Saying that, not every season was on par with the previous one before it. No matter my ratings though, Californication will always be in my top three series right between Breaking Bad & Mad Men.
Seasons(H=Highlight)~
1? 10/10(H~ Becca/Mia)
2? 10/10(H~Ashby/Karen)
3? 9/10 (H~Hank/Professor)
4? 8/10 *beep* & Punching/Law?)
5? 7/10 (H~Samurai Apocalypse)
6? 10/10 (H~Faith/Atticus)
7? 7/10 (H~Levon/Hank)

It was a good ride overall. I loved Hank, and I love David Duchovny so it was a fact that I'd like this show. And I did, but season 7 was painful to watch. Levon was painful in my opinion. And, not even Hank alone managed to keep me interested.

So, let's see:

S1: 9/10
S2: 7/10
S3: 9/10
S4: 9/10
S5: 8/10
S6: 7/10
S7: 5/10

The first four seasons are some of the best television I've ever seen.

I'm re-watching this show again(i just ended 2nd season), 1st time i saw it was summer of 2014, its one of my favorites btw.

1st 4 seasons are 10/10

season 5 8/10
season 6 8/10
season 7 6/10 still had some humor left in it, but i can't help but to feel that this season was unnecessary

Season 1-4 are all top-notch. My favorite is the third.

Five episodes into season 5 and the humor is mostly great, but disappointing in its lack of heart. It's also getting too predictable, you know where almost every plotpoint is going. Too much of a "standalone" feel around episodes too, they don't connect to each other that well. Not a 10/10 one so far either.

I'm still optimistic. They might really go all in with the second half.
