Super Bad vs. Prom Wars?

Alrighty. Two young actors-Michael Cera and Alia Shawkat- starred in a tv show together. they both have high school movies coming out- Michael Cera's is "Super Bad" and Alia Shawkat's is "Prom Wars". After reading the plot outlines, which do you think will attract a wider audience? Which actor has the better performance? This could be difficult to compare because of having different genders but let's see.

Easy...Superbad will be the funniest movie of the year

I definitely think Michael Cera's Super Bad will be funnier and overall more entertaining.
I haven't seen any trailers for Prom Wars, but from the summary...it doesn't look too appealing to me.
I think both Cera and Shawkat will definitely shine in their roles as they have done in everything they've been in so far.
I'm guessing SuperBad for the win.

an actor alone can't forecast whether a film do well.
who was smart enough to pick a movie with good writers and director.
Superbad is therefore the winner.

Superbad will win for sure. Prom Wars will attract some highschool girls but I'm a university student and there is no way I'm not going to go to Superbad on openning day, dressed as George Michael.

You guys all might be suprised as Alia Shawkat shines in Prom Wars and it is definitely a movie I am really proud of. It isn't comparable to superbad and the tone is totally different but don't write it off until you've seen it. Give it a chance...it stars Maybe Funke!

I've seen Superbad three times now. It's the funniest movie I've ever seen in my life. And I've seen a whole bunch of movies.

And this movie's name is "Prom Wars" which, no offense to Phil, is a bad name. it's apparent what crowd you're going after...and I'm not part of that crowd, I'm afraid.

But, that being said...I gotta give this movie a chance for this lone reason: It has Alia Shawkat in it. If she pulls this performance off as well as she has done her other performances (yeah, even that life time movie which I laughed through the whole time) then this might be okay.

Plus, the trailer and behind the scenes makes it look like it could be funny...and Alia's pretty hot.

Superbad is going to KILL prom wars. Michael Cera is obviously making better career choices and going with the right comedic "group".

well, hey. if we start seeing previews or trailers, maybe it'll attract more people. Now, Prom Wars sounded good at first... but until i see a commercial or preview for it, i'm not planning on seeing it. Superbad however, sounds amazingly funny! my friend saw the preview at NYC and she said it was just as funny as american pie. and i love american pie. i mean, michael cera was in arrested development which is a HILARIOUS show. so knowing him, this'll be insanely hilarious. hehe, i love this quote from Superbad:

Evan: You changed your name to McLovin?
Seth: It doesn't have a first name, it just says McLovin!
Evan: The guys either going think 'here's another guy with a fake ID', or here's McLovin, 25 year old Hawaiian organ donor.
Fogell: I am McLovin

HAHA. amazing trailer.

This is like saying "40 Year Old Viring" or "13 Going on 30"

You can't really compare two movies which MAY be of the same genre but have totally different target auidences. Furthermore what does their acting have to do with anything? Both are fine actors... some people have better agents, more oppertunities for movies, or make better or worse choices. Doesn't seem to have much to do with their acting which they both proved on Arrest Development.
