juno was not a canadian indie. it was financed mostly with U.S. fundings and Fox Searchlight, many of the principle players were canadian though. it was also shown at many film festivals where it received buzz to allow it to be shown in a large amount of theatres.

this film on the other hand.. different story. pure canadian indie. without critical success it might never show in wide release, like most canadian films.

So when this movie does come out for public eye, where can I find it? or go to watch it?

reply

Juno was a canadian movie.
Did you not hear Jason Reitman talking about the movie? He says it's completely canadian:
Canadian lead actors
filmed in canada
director and writer are canadian
but the finance is american.
At the oscar's, Jason said that he hopes people will see that a canadian movie like Juno should win best film so they don't underestimate canadian films.
And it won best original screenplay :)

Um, no. The writer, Diablo Cody, is from Minnesota. They haven't annexed us from the US yet! The director, Ellen Page and Michael Cera are Canadian, yes, and it was filmed there.

No offense to the Canadians whatsoever. They are awesome.
