Why is there always that one idiot who loves capitalism....

....and has to post on all the anti-capitalist movies?

"Dur....big government, taxes, leftism"...."capitalism creates wealth and helps creative people"....

Just awful.

How can one not easily see that the wealth does not trickle down?

reply

I support capitalism but not corporations. Capitalism existed long before corporations became human. Some people just don't understand that what the US currently has isn't capitalism. Its a corporatist plutocracy. And they gave corporations the exact same rights as humans except with no responsibilities.

Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful.

Hey, you're lucky if it's just one, most of the internet boards are filled with scads of them all cut and pasting their slogans from Dick Cheney central. There is never a counterpoint to whatever movie or book or work that they are insulting, it's all just about stopping people from thinking and stirring them up.

Which thread are you referring to? I did not see any thread like that for this movie...

Wow, let's recap.

(1) You put "dur.." before "capitalism creates wealth and helps creative people." So, let's get this straight. If capitalism DOES create wealth and help creative people, you find that to be a big ol' "dur" rather than being for people and their dreams. If capitalism does NOT create wealth and help creative people, you think "dur" for someone having the idea that it does. So, DOES capitalism achieve these goals? Yes, of course. Wealth creation, even via central banking, puts dreams in play, and therefore wealth in other pockets. We do not have an asset-based economy, so it is not win-lose, not zero-sum, so you can't use that old argument to stir up the masses. I mean, you CAN, because it works, but not intellectually.

(2) "Dur.. big government." So you LIKE big government? You like government in your iphone, in your bedroom, in your gun cabinet, etc? Or maybe you just don't believe government is intruding in every aspect of your life? I believe if you are against central banking you must also be against big government.

(3) "Dur.. taxes." So you LIKE taxes? You like government stealing your labor for their own ends, telling you they are helping the poor, infirm, and infrastructure while they just line their pockets and concentrate power on the few?

(4) "Dur.. leftist." If you like leftism, just say so. Don't be a ponce.

"How can one not easily see that the wealth does not trickle down?"
Because one can easily see it does. BIG GOVERNMENT creates the strangulation of credit through Dodd-Frank and other bad policies and laws. Otherwise, credit would flow and people would create business, jobs, dreams, education, etc. Failures aside, what's wrong with people having the means? Or are you a believer in the equally-mystical Zeitgeist which magically puts all resources in everyone's hands? I'm FOR that if you can do it, but first you must remove the tyrants, beginning, notably, in Africa, the Arab states, China, and many more places.

CREATE the new economy, don't just COMPLAIN.

It is more "free enterprise" and the "rule of law" that promotes
economic growth and prosperity. When things become "capitalist",
that simply means that a small number of people have concentrated
their wealth and power and run things by themselves, or for a
corporation and can take advantage of the economies of scale, and
the labor of those dispossessed from their traditional land by Western
military force.

Capitalism, well regulated should work, but when corrupt and greedy
people gain control of it, and they always will, it turns into an oppressive
force against people.
