Dr. Drew made the best point of this movie

People try to justify cruelty by saying "I'm just being honest." We as a society need to learn empathy. Any truth can be communicated with consideration. Saying, "You suck! Hey, I'm just being honest" doesn't protect the feelings of the comment's recipient. And lacking feeling for any other human being is a lack of humanity itself.
Typically the cruelest people are those with the most insecurities. They can say, "I don't let anything get to me," but in truth we all have our little glass houses we live in. And just the right stone can shatter us completely.
I know criticism has been around forever, but 2 culprits (among others) in modern culture have bred anonymous cruelty to new levels: the internet and reality tv.
The internet provides the perfect medium for people to be cruel beyond all measure with no repercussions.
Reality tv (in my opinion) helps to inspire such cruelty. Almost every show seems to celebrate one person tearing apart another, and the label "reality" leads the uninformed to think this is how people should act toward one another.
It is not considered cool or popular to empathize with your fellow man, so it is an endangered trait. They used to say "Chivalry is dead." I now feel empathy is dead. It is not considered cool or popular to empathize with your fellow man, so it is an endangered trait.
