How did Walt poison Brock?
What did I miss?
shareHe uses the berries, but it's unclear if he directly gives them to Brock, slips them in something, or what. You didn't miss anything.
Chalk it up to some off-screen/off-camera trickery.
I knew it was the berries, I just didn't know how he was able to slip it to him. With so much happening at the time, it is a wonder that Walt got away with it at all.
shareI'm not sure either.
It is amazing he staved off discovery as long as he did, yeah.
Right. Hank should have seen through Walt long before he sat on the toilet, but then there wouldn't have been much of a show.
shareMaybe, but I totally get why he didn't. Hank was too close. He had a mental image of Walt (whom he'd known for years) as this timid, milquetoast wimp who couldn't stand up for himself or dare step outside his safe, little bubble; kinda like "Oh, Clark couldn't be Superman!". When Walt started behaving abnormally, he probably assumed it was just the tumult of the cancer diagnosis. When flimsy explanations were offered, he bought 'em, because he couldn't or wouldn't believe his brother-in-law was the supercriminal Heisenberg.
shareThat is true. When it came to Walt, Hank was very trusting of him.
shareIronically, Skyler is much more suspicious much sooner, but I think that's probably true to life. A wife (or husband) would be far more likely than a brother in law to notice odd behaviour from a spouse and know there were secrets concealed.
shareThe show doesn't say or explain how he poisoned Brock with the lily of the valley. We know that Walt did poison Brock; how he did it is left open.
The show made very clear the Walt is crafty, intelligent, ingenious. I'm sure he had ways to poison Brock without getting caught.
Also, he slipped Lydia the ricin. How he got it in her stevia is a mystery. I suppose he did it before Lydia sat down with Todd.
shareHe slipped the ricin when he met with Lydia in the usual place by putting it in her Stevia package.

Re: Lydia's poisoning
He bought a packet of stevia. Probably made a tiny snip on the packet, carefully dropped the ricin inside, then sealed the packet back with superglue or another adhesive.
He knew where Lydia would sit, what restaurant she'd be in, what time she'd be there, etc. So he just put the packet at her table before she got there, and her routine did the rest.
Yes, that is what I figured too. Brock is a little more of a mystery. Brock did often give Walt a strange look whenever Walt showed up, so there must have been some kind of a meeting between the two that was never shown.
