Two questions

...no doubt dumb questions. Because...I sometimes ain't too sharp.

In season 5 what were the implications of Walt not removing the bugging devices? It's not like they could trace it to him. And while the bugs did have his fingerprints on them there's no reason to believe that the DEA had his prints on file. It just seem that recovering the bugs was much too risky.

2. Can anyone explain these two sentences from the Trivia page?

According to Bryan Cranston, David Alexandre still thinks he was surplaying. He even thought about giving up during season 1.

My guess to the first question is that it would definitely arouse suspicion if they found it, and depending on how many people were in his office or had access to his office, it could really limit the list of possible suspects and Walt would be among them. I'm sure they wouldn't jump to the conclusion it was him, but it would still be better off altogether if they didnt find it at all. My best guess anyways, they didnt need to risk drawing any attention to themselves. Better safe than sorry as they say.

As for your second question, fvck if I know lol now I'm definitely curious though

Edit: I cant even find the definition of the word surplaying or surplay...nor have I ever heard it spoken. No idea.

If the series had gone on longer and there had been more episodes of Walt running his meth empire (let's say he was on top for a lot longer than three months), him keeping the bugs in the office the entire time would have been an excellent way of Walt having a direct scoop into most of what Hank and the DEA was planning during his whole run as king.

reply

Yes but I recall mike mentioning that they do regular sweeps for bugs so it would only be a matter of time until it was discovered.

reply

Why would they reguarly sweep the DEA's main office for bugs?

reply

I'd imagine its just protocol. And who knows, maybe its to make sure that valuable information isn't getting leaked to the outside by possible dirty agents. Like if a dirty agent bugged a fellow agent's office to gather and potentially sell information to a criminal/criminals. Its likely a precautionary measure to ensure that nothing is being compromised that way. Thats just my guess, to know the definite answer you'd likely have to ask them lol

But as I said, its mike who mentions they do the sweeps.

Lol yeah that trivia piece is weird. But anyone can add anything to it I guess, there's also this gem:

Aaron Paul is a perfectionist. One day, while filming a scene in which a boulder fell to the ground next to White, Paul asked if he could stand on the other side of Bryan Cranston for a scene.

Maybe I'm just stupid but I can't make any sense of that, and what falling boulders have to do with Aaron Paul's alleged perfectionism.

To point 1, agreed with lief. And even if they didn't have his prints, who knows, maybe some day they would. Although Walt did get arrested in...was it Caballo sin nombre where he started mouthing off to the police officer who pulled him over for the cracked windshield? So who knows, maybe they did have his prints.

Do you even know what honor is?
- A horse.

reply

Oh yeah I forgot about him being arrested, so yes they would have his prints.

reply

Hahaha I completely forgot about that fascinating piece of trivia! Its been a while since I've actually read the trivia section because in the past id read it so many times before and nothing new was really getting added.

That boulder one though, wtf was that person talking about? Dont they have admins who could proofread some of the stuff people submit to the trivia? That sentence makes absolutely no sense lol

reply

Bryan Cranston was so anal rententive that once, during a shoot, he demanded that turkey sandwiches be immediately distributed to each member of the cast and crew.

reply

Why would admins proofread? You have any idea how many movies and TV shows exist? And you think someone should be monitoring all of them? It's not like you're talking about typos, you are talking about admins having to be extremely familiar with the show so they would know if something is made up or not. That's not a reasonable request.

Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that I'll be over here looking through your stuff.

reply

I figured it would go through some sort of process where when something gets submitted to the trivia page, someone would at least look at it first to see if what someone wrote even made sense....obviously.

I wasn't requesting sh!t...i couldn't actually care less if they do or not. I wasnt talking about fact checkers as I think youre referring to.
