is there a cameo by the real Brian Wilson?

I can't find it in the trivia or in these discussions ...

At about 34 minutes into the DVD when the young Brian (Dano) is in the recording studio he has a brief, maybe 3 or 4 seconds, exchange with the guys behind the glass at the control board. One of those guys looks like Brian Wilson, and in fact his face is slightly more lit than those on either side of him. I believe it was Brian himself.

Can anyone verify that?

Yeah, I noticed that too. The DVD extras also have a behind-the-scenes clip of Wilson visiting that set, so it seems very plausible.

I didn't delve too deep into it, but wasn't able to verify it online either.

I thought it was Brian, as well. After a second look, though, it doesn't appear to be. Actor Brian walks past the sound guy and it looks a lot like the real Brian. When actir Brian walks out of the booth in the other direction, the sound guy turns directly toward the camera and you can tell it's not real Brian.

Nope. He only shows up during the credits, performing Love and Mercy live.

Yeah I thought it was him as well but I don't think it was
