One of the greatest bands of all time, and you churn out this filth? Focusing on all the wrong topics, seeing the album made just doesn't matter that much...(the way they did it), and bringing in a bunch of "hey everybody, look at me!" cast, and you have yourself NOTHING to do with The Beach Boys or their triumph of musical history-making tracks. This movie was a piece of *beep* Wow, Brian Wilson bought a Cadillac. Who gives a *beep*

At some point surely you realized the movie wasn't about the Beach Boys, right?

Excuse me...TxMike is the only douche twit, YES I understand the movie was not about The beach Boys, but even being about Brian Wilson alone, it could have been MUCH better.

How could it have been much better? NO scenes were shot on a soundstage, the beach concert scene that looked like old footage from the 60s was NEW footage, what else could have been done???

I hope you're not bragging about a degree in "broadcast journalism" joechicago. That's the kind of degree students get when they can't tackle difficult courses. It is sort of a consolation prize just for showing up.

Well since you asked, I have an advanced degree from a top midwest university, after studying math, physics, and chemistry. I was high school graduating class valedictorian and graduated "with distinction" in college. I became a company-wide expert, functioning as an internal consultant. I also gave presentations in my field both internally and to outside groups.

But none of that really matters, does it? I understood the concept of this movie and didn't complain about it. You didn't understand it and did complain. So I guess your "broadcast journalism" degree was just a consolation prize after all.

You have any "accomplishments" you wish to share??

Less focus on the actors showcasing mediocre talents...all of them are better than what was on display here...the story didn't make a lick of sense...for starters...the state is simply going to allow this individual to reside over, and pump a musical icon full of pills nonstop without recourse? For years? There simply wasn't enough time to tell the story that needed to be told under this outline they tried using. Boring storyline, lacking in depth, and just about everything else...I refuse to waste anymore time on such a presumptuous, douchey, trite and self absorbed piece of trash "film"...

For even an idiot could do a casual search on Wikipedia, or an interview with the man himself and find out that's exactly what happened to Wilson.
