This movie needed to end.....

...rigth before they went to Mexico. Going to Mexico was the biggest mistake the movie made. 1hr 30 mins wouldve been a nice, respectable running-time. But thwy drug it out, and out, and out. I think I wouldve liked this film a lot more if they wouldve just ended it in the desert and she wouldve been caught. I wouldve like her performance alot more too.

I just finished watching the film, and for the first 143 minutes it was one of the best and thrilling films I'd seen in a long time, but that last minute almost ruined the entire movie for me. The length of the movie while I was watching didn't bother me, but because of the many twists and turns I just wished she'd have gotten something in the end, and the fact that she ended up with nothing kind of made me feel like I went through all those twists and turns for nothing as well. No feeling of satisfaction, no sense of conclusion. But Tilda's performance keeps it all worthwhile for me, and I'll probably give the film a second and third watch.

No I disagree, some of the best scenes in the movie occur once they cross the border into Mexico, although I do feel it was too long but I wouldn’t know where to cut, everything seemed necessary. Maybe the whole desert hideout could have been trimmed, especially the Helicopter that went after her.

I thought she was tricking him and still had the other million back at the hotel...?

Watch it again. The final act in Mexico is brilliant. Julia goes balls-out and redeems herself (at least partially).

I did, and yes, it is. Tilda Swinton is amazing.

Hey detective, what's your favorite scary movie?

I don't know that she ever redeems herself. (I know you said partially, but even so.)

I don't think they could have cut anything from this movie and I really liked how ambiguous the ending was. There's certainly a change that has come over Tilda Swinton's character by the end and how you interpret that change is up to you.

I really wish this director would come out with another movie. His work is all so good and it's just been far too long.

Redemption is a little generous. She put Marcus who is completely innocent, into a coma (we don't know if he survives) and she murders the "cab driver".
