Looney toonz

Is "the action" supposed to be as realistic as Tom and Jerry?
I'm thinking to start with about the running around in the goblin scaffolding villige flinging goblins away like a video game , culminating in falling 500 metres down a rocky ravine , and then having an extremely weighty goblin king land on top of them.

Then you've got all the other fight scenes where 1000s of opponents charge at them , and they charge back and hack and slash and not a single casualty!
Reminds me a lot of the 80s video game "Gauntlet"

You just dont get that kind of itchy and scratchy surrealism when reading the book.
Dosent this kinda ruin it? or in fact shit all over it?
