I mean, he already had developed all these suits before he even got hurt? And then in the final battle, he ends up using the Mark I armor to begin with? This whole movie is ass-backwards. I forwarded through 3/4ths of it and it still felt long.
shareIf you bothered actually watching it instead of fast forwarding it, you would see that the Mark I armour is his only option at the end of the film.
And if you watched the extras they explain why they made him already own the armours. Basically for quickness, made more sense that he knew roughly what he was building from the off whilst held captive. Ideal for a 75min movie.
Technically he wasn't Iron Man, he just happened to have developed the armours.

It does make sense that he sort of knew what he was doing before he was captured instead of halfassing up an amazing piece of weaponry. The liquid steel bit worked well in this as well.
Besides he gave a perfectly good reason for having the armors ahead of time after he got into his office with rhoadie.
