Why did they change the Manadin's origin

The movie was not so bad but they screwed the whole manadrin story up which really pissed me off.

Why did they not just stick with the real story of mandarin finding the alien ship and the rings? That is far better than what they put in this movie.

Oh well.

Because the writers were idiots. Much like 75% of the other comic-to-movie writers out there.

I liked the movie liked the acting liked the fights with the elementals, hated how they handled the mandarin. But over all it wasn't so bad. Would have been better if the mandarin came to life fully and was maybe at best fought to a draw. Then stark could kind of suck on that for a while. Lei Mei who he has an attachment to is out there somewhere, he couldn't save her and she is coming to kill him some where sometime no matterhow much he tries to avoid it.

My invisible wife says it's okay to see digital people:)

I don't know why these incompetent makers keep f()cking around with the Mandarin... Why not just make him according to the comics? In 90's they turned him into a green-skinned, alien-looking idiot. Here they made him some mythical entity that doesn't even show up until the end. And then there is Iron Man 3... What the f()ck! All those versions sucked in comparison to the comics. Maybe it's time when people need to realize that non-comic-book-accurate approach doesn't work with the Mandarin, so maybe it's time to make him according to the comics. This movie should've been a retelling of John Byrne's Iron Man or Joe Cassey's Enter the Mandarin. Then it would've been a much better movie.
