Please honor the book by maintaining its integrity and originality.
Looking at the plot summary, it looks like the filmmakers made a lot of changes. The best format for the dense book would be a mini-series.

shareI have not read the book, but have seen the movie and I thought it was good, confusing at parts but pretty good, Wendy Crewson was in it and she is one of my favorite actress.

I have probably read the book fifteen or twenty times... It's my absolute favorite book and I've always thought that it would be great as a movie. Now, reading the synopsis of the T.V.film, I just have the feeling that the mood of the book is gone... I don't think I want to see this movie... I'll rather keep it the way I like it in my head! :)
shareOh, don't see the movie. I ADORE the book and have read it many times. The movie is so absolutely different than the book, it really would ruin it for you. To be fair, I really don't think it is possible to adapt this to a film, ever.
Or, if you want to see the movie, be prepared for disappointment.
