I was just wondering: At the same time as Madonna is singing "Like a Virgin" we can see videoclips with horses tripping and falling, some of the images are really horrible. What is Madonnas point in doing so? How does it correspond with the lyrics? Has it something to do with the innocence of animals and how we people abuse and mistreat them? Does someone have any suggestions?
shareI believe Madonna said that her new interpretation of this song was about someone who starts all over again, an unwritten page, like a virgin.
It makes sense because she fell off her horse the year before and she had to start over again. The theme of the first segment was horses, in case you hadn't noticed ;-)
