question about the doctor
I can't remember what the doctor had on these guys to force them to rob graves. I thought it was quite funny the way the 2 of them despised the doctor and bantored back and forth about what a b@stard he was. lol
That's what happened in real life. Burke & Hare were two famous Irish body snatchers in Scotland. They supplied bodies to Dr Robert Knox, a famous lecturer at the University. They began killing people to supply him. They were executed but he was not even prosecuted because he was a "gentleman." All he had to do was deny he knew they were killing people.
Dr Knox moved to London and although his reputation was damaged he did continue in the medical field.
He is the subject of several plays and movies. You can look these people up on wikpedia.
