Michael Palin + Eric Idle, please.
If one were to give this movie the Monty Python treatment, it would have been brilliant. As it was, it turned out to be a bit too monotonous. The storytelling aspect slowed the pace and never let it achieve any sort of momentum. The frequent breaks in the story, cutting back and forth to the testimony and to the story never allowed any real development of the characters which left the audience uninvested in their plight or escapades.
The run-of-the-mill approach to each of the corpses denied the audience any thrills or laughs where there should have been plenty. but if the narration and the characters seem less than enthusiastic, it leaves the audience feeling the same way.
I just never felt invested in this movie nor it's characters. The story was fun and unique, but the execution of it was lifeless.
Sad but true.
The Constitution is not the People's "permission slip". It is our Government's "permission slip".
