Dr. Jeckyll and Sister Hyde DVD commentary

I love the director Roy Ward Baker, who did several Hammer films, including Dr. Jeckyll and Sister Hyde, which I rented from Netflix a few weeks ago. And there are two graverobber characters in that movie and during the DVD commentary Roy Ward Baker describes those characters in a very similar manner that the characters in this movie are described. I wonder if the writer saw that DVD also and got the idea from it.

these characters are based on Burke and Hare, whose story has been told a few times on film....The Body Snatchers 1945 with Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi..The Flesh and the Fiends 1960 with Peter Cushing...Burke and Hare 1972 with Darren Nesbit.. and The Dr and the Devils 1985 with Timothy Dalton.. in my opinion The Flesh and the Fiends is the best version...

There is a scene where one character jokingly refers to the pair as Burke & Hare, which I thought was a nice touch. Makes it clear the film makers know this is a similar film but also that they're not intentionally ripping off or trying to compare to it.
