Any connection to the film 'Session 9'?

Haven't had a chance to see the film yet, though i plan to. There appear to be many superficial similarities to the 2001 film "Session 9" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0261983/

I mean beyond the title, setting and genre the plots appear to be distinct, but as i said, i haven't actually seen it. Are there any actual connections between these films?

Btw I highly recommend session 9 for those who haven't seen it.

I enjoyed Session 9 and have seen both films. I see no real connection between the two... even the setting is different. Psych:9 was also very boring at times while Session 9 IMO is one of the best horror films out there. Psych 9 used color very well and the saturated look made it stand out even more, other than that there is not much to be said about this film.

I was curious too... If I remember, the wife of the "protagonist" of Session 9 was also named Emma. I will take a peek at this movie just to see.

I thought her name was "Wendy" in "Session 9".

I found this to be a lot more like the 1990's movie "Night Watch", a Dutch movie that was remade in the US starring Ewan McGregor. It wasn't nearly as good as "Session 9" in any case.

This movie doesn't deserve to be compared to Session 9.

The only similarities is that they were both shot in closed hospitals.
