flashbacks

This film says that it is based on the interrogation transcripts. What are the flashbacks based on? To what extent are they accurate?

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

From what I gather from the book by Neal Bascomb, they are not too accurate.

The woman who was his mistress near Doppl was not Jewish. Eichmann did have a mistress near Doppl, a Maria Moesenbacher, and she was tricked by the Hagana after the war into revealing that she had a photograph of Eichmann which was seized by the authorities.

There is no indication that Eichmann personally killing anyone. The scene where he shot a baby was pure invention.

The visit to Theresienstadt by the Red Cross representative might have taken place, but if it was in April 1945, the transports to Auschwitz had by this time ended, as Auschwitz had been liberated by the Russians in January. And to be honest, that was one that I hadn't caught until it was pointed out on this board.

There are a couple of good books on the Eichmann case, if you are interested. The only one I have currently is by Neal Bascomb and is called Hunting Eichmann. I hope to get the one by Pearlman and the one by Cesaroni.
