I read the parents guide and it didn't mention forced sex.

shareI think for the main story thread to be sold to us, the "passion levels" needed to be turned up a few notches, to make the third act, a little more believable. We mainly get just a litany of shadowy longing looks through doorways, lots of listening to piano and a few stolen kisses, which I feel undercut the story somewhat. May be the producers were being too faithful to the novel.🐭
