The Dub. Oh dear lord, the dub...

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm a guy who likes dubs. I usually always stand up for them.

... But this...

This is horrendous.

Allen is wayyy too deep and smug. Lavi is okay, but Suzumura's my favorite seiyuu and cannot be topped anyway. Kanda... is completely horrible. Roy Mustang trying to sound like Piccolo horrible. Lenalee and Road have the other's voice (Lenalee is way too hyper, Road is too old and calm), Tyki is okay... The Earl has lung cancer. Cross is Piccolo trying to have a British accent. Komui is the only decent one I've heard.

FUNi, what have you done to DGM?

...

Noah Allen should make up for it, but it just doesn't.

Wow!!!!!

Well, I hope things get straighten out in the later episodes of the dub (like what happened with OP, DBZ, and Media Blasters dub of RuroKen), because it sounds like they just made the WORST DUB (English) in the whole WORLD EVER!!!! (Even worser than what 4Kids does!!!)

There are a number of different sites, I just googled "D.Gray-Man anime online" and I checked out a few until I found one that suited me. However, I only found subbed versions, which is OK because the subbed ones are superior.

I first saw this on my brother's computer in a subbed version, and this week I finally got Season One Volume One from the library. I decided to re-watch the first two episodes in dub version and I wished I hadn't.

Allen sounded like a whiny brat and Komui like a stereotypical gay person. The voices for Kanda, The Earl and Cross were just wrong, wrong, WRONG! So I've been watching the rest in Japanese audio with subtitles, even if a woman voices Allen, it just sounds so much better. (Although I noted in the episodes of Allen's first mission the English dub is a mini-reunion of FMA VA with Caitlin Glass voicing Lala, Mike McFarland voicing Toma and Vic (can't spell his last name) voicing the Akuma Clown.) Christopher Sabat is very versatile in this anime, he does voices AND works behind the scenes.

This is why I only watched this series in Japanese with subtitles :)

The dub for Tsubasa Resovoir Chronicles (sp?) is chronic as well! xxx

On hulu, I had a choice between watching d. gray-man in dub or sub. I decided on dub, since it's easier, so I added all the dub eps of the first season to my queue. Then I watched the first episode. I hated the voices so much, I actually went and deleted all the dub eps from my queue and replaced them with all the sub eps hulu has.

What's with all the hate? It's not THAT bad. I for one cannot stand Allen's voice in the subbed version, it's too high pitched/girly (yes I am aware that a woman is voicing him). And I'm growing used to the English cast. It's a real shame that Funimation might not ever dub the rest of the seasons and I'll have to force myself to watch the subbed T_T

The voice that is also Roy Mustang in FMA is too distinctive to also be Kanda. You can't have characters sharing that type of voice.
