Where is spiral stairway located?

Towards the ends of the movie, he appears to go down the stairwell of the hotel, which is a rectangular shaped spiral stairwell of many floors (but is obviously actually sited someplace else as no major hotel stairwell looks like that).

Anyone know where that stairwell is located?

(and why this is nearly the only movie without movie shooting locations section?)
