why the bleach? *MASSIVE SPOILERS*

why did he rub bleach into his body before he killed himself?

reply

I may be totally wrong.............really and truly, but I saw it that he was scrubbing himself really 'clean of his life', ya know? partly in a state-of-mind', like being reborn thing.

making the skin sore and very clean by scrubbing so hard, to sort of let him release the anger he had probably become to himself at that stage, for all the things he done as a paedophile. cleansing the skin. bleach is a strong germ killer - ya get?

then putting a clean fresh suit on, so he is found dressed very well, like going to court - may have to do with closure for his mind's sake.

perhaps scrubbing the soul clean and looking smart to end his life and go into the next..

damn..

there is more to what Im trying to say, but right now I cannot fecking think of the right way to write it, cause Im thick

Yeah I agree with you blackcarlover. It must have hurt a hell of a lot though, pouring bleach onto his chest.

Yeah my mum and sister didnt get the bleach thing either, in my opinion he scrubbed himself down with bleach because he felt 'dirty' within himself. He felt dirty, disgusted and ashamed because he came so close to taking advantage of the little girl. Apperantly quite a few people who have been made to feel dirty, e.g. after being assaulted/raped or committing an awful deed themselves, will try to cleanse themselves and forget the horrible memories by wiping the 'dirt' off of them to feel a release.

He has OCD. the clues are there all the way through. Obsessive tidyness to chaotic mess. Constant washing and other complusive behaviour. he is trying to cleanse himself

reply

I think it was about "cleansing himself" of his urges.

There are a couple of ways this could be taken. A previous poster mentioned that he could have OCD. A friend of mine who was abused as a child, had OCD and would constantly be washing herself, in particular her hands. She felt that she was washing away the "dirtiness" she felt because of the abuse.

Secondly, it could be that he was cleaning those urges and purging his body of these impure thoughts. Whatever the reason, would imagine it would be too pleasant to do that.

reply

Yeah, i guess it would make sense that he was cleaning himself one last time before he died.

reply

I got that first time round. I agree its a state of mind, so he decided to cleanse himself prior to his suicide, to at least give some closure to his life.
