Phillips + Priestly did pretty well

Lou Diamond Phillips & Jason Priestly demonstrated that good actors can survive questionable direction. Erin Karpluk proved that she is the "cutest" actress currently working (I didn't say 'hot', 'beautiful', or 'gorgeous'...I said the "C Word"...CUTE). BUT who in hell would give a moron such as Liam (I.Q. had to be -60) a gun??? For that matter who would trust him to tie his own shoes?
I've certainly seen worse science fiction than this. It was actually very much like several Star Trek N.G. episodes dealing with corrupted technology and "limbo dimensions".
